"Dear DCCM,
At first, I was reluctant to switch from my tried and true paper gift certificates to plastic gift cards, but when I saw the response to my new gift program, I realized I had missing the boat for a long time. Aside from my customer's easy acceptance of the program, I never had to give cash back for any purchase less than the face value of the gift card. It stayed on the card and then when my customers returned to redeem the rest of the value, they ended up buying more the remaining value. This program worked better than I could have imagined. A simple change brought about considerable results.
Thank you for introducing me to new ideas and increased profits. I'm a loyal fan and a dedicated customer.

"Dear DCCM,
I run a car wash and even though my customers liked my gift certificates many didn't want to spend the $99 for the ten washes. Some wanted fewer washes. So I got your gift card program which allowed me to program in however many washes the customer wanted. My gift card sales skyrocketed and I generated enough upfront cash to add another wash bay. All in all, I'm really satisfied with your gift card program.
Oh, will you please send me 100 more cards? Thanks.

"Dear DCCM,
If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it.
I took a simple buy 6 and get one free (I call it my Lucky 7 Plan) promotion and expanded it into an entire advertising campaign that I know took away business from my competitors. At first I was considering a punch card like Subway stores use, but I had heard how easily those are to copy. I certainly didn't want people coming in with a punch card with six punches and then ripping me off for a free game. So I went with the plastic card system and the results were super. I'm selling more games than ever and my customers are coming back to me instead of my competition. Thanks for the help.
