What is a shopping cart?
A shopping cart is software added to your web site that will allow visitors to select items from your on-line catalog and add them to a "shopping cart". When they are finished shopping, they "check out" to complete the purchase. On commerce sites, the customer would enter credit card information which would be securely processed. Basic sites do not handle secure payment, so the customer could print the order form and fax it to you with payment information.
